The Where We Live Project
submission info |
||||
| Working from the perspective of a street photographer, each participant is encouraged to thoughtfully choose scenes that depict the essence of their neighborhood and its related surroundings in the manner of a coherent photo essay. Each photographer is limited to black and white film or digital capture and the unique makeup of his or her neighborhood. There is no deadline for completion of this project, however it is hoped that the final product of this project will be a print-on-demand book available through Lulu, or another such printer, by the end of 2007. (No profits will be made from the sale of books through Lulu or another such printer. The price of the book will be minimum allowed by the printer.) Photographers will be responsible for editing their film to a selection of four (4) images to be submitted as high-resolution tiff files along with detailed captions for inclusion in the on-line exhibition and final POD book publication. The on-line exhibition of The Where We Live Project, will be hosted by www.bigcrow.com in regular installments. If desired, each photographer may provide a brief biography, portrait, and contact information for the participants page of the exhibition. Each photographer should also provide a photo credit / © line as they would like it to appear accompanying their images. For more information e-mail David W. Sumner at: dave@bigcrow.com |
