Vincent Van Gogh by Maxon Crumb
"Van Gogh Shooting Himself in a Corn Field"

From Nik Nler, Bremen Germany:

"I've decided to display some artwork by Robert's younger brother Maxon. Why? Because I think his drawings and paintings are powerful, great art and could use some exposure.
If you've seen Terry Zwigoff's "Crumb" documentary, you'll remember Maxon and his artwork (and if you haven't seen the movie, you should do so soon). Much of the artwork shown in the film is also collected in the "Crumb Family Comics" for a closer look - probably my favourite Crumb book, and carefully edited by Maxon Crumb. Most of the pictures below are taken from this book.
Maxon Crumb has also done a fine set of illustrations for a book called "Maxon's Poe" in which E. A. Poe's novels and Maxon's drawings make a great combination. How do you like his art?."
