Museums

After the old deYoung Museum closed in December 2000, I began work on a series of paintings expressing my feelings for the collection and documenting the old building. Most of the paintings are of the interior galleries, showing people standing in front of paintings. They were exhibited as "Homage to the deYoung" in March 2001, at HANG at the Canvas gallery. Later, I painted scenes from the SF ACademy of Sciences, SFMOMA and local galleries. This series is ongoing. Click on any of the images to see the bigger picture.
