Alcatraz (and Caves of San Francisco)
Originally, this was going to be two different series, but I was working on them at the same time, there was a lot of overlap between the images, so I figured, "What the heck," make it simple. Unlike my previous series (Trickster) this one has no people. The "Caves of San Francisco" are natural and urban spaces that feel like caves to me. There are natural and man-made caves on Alcatraz as well all over the city. Here are a few of them:
