Landscapes Whenever the weather permits, I paint plein aire - usually in San Francisco, sometimes elsewhere in the Bay Area. When painting outdoors, I use watercolor and gouache rather than the acrylics I use in the studio. Painting all in one sitting is good practice. It forces me to loosen up and paint a little more spontaneously than I normally do. These works on paper are often available (unframed) at shows - just ask about them.
