Reviews:
"Jeremy Friedman traveled from Oakland to see the work of the woman he described as an undiscovered genius. Conti cites symbolism and surrealism as important elements in her paintings. Elizabeth Steele, an associate of HANGart, said the show was a blowout. Only three paintings remained on the wall at the show's closing."
Tiffany Maleshefski, "Dashing Dachshund Art Show", The Independent, June 5, 2001

"Anna Conti renders 'Janet Rosen' in acrylic on canvas. It is a composition which is imbued with symbolism such as pills to signify Rosen's involvement in the medical profession. Her symbols are icons which appear in the lives of the individuals she paints. Conti is a symbolist who incorporates shapes into her work. In 'Janet Rosen', she craftsfully (sic) uses the concept of triangles to strengthen her creation. As such, her pieces are environmental portraits of each individual in their setting."
Bobby Law, "Art in the Neighborhood", The New Fillmore Newspaper, April 1996

"The work of Anna L. Conti mixes dogs, symbolism and women in an almost New Age Cauldron and ends up with strong, clear, feminine momentum still dank with the richness of earth. Kali and orchids, cyclic energy, hands and bodies, a Tarot reading of the visual subconscious from where Quan Yin looks at us with mystery and puzzlement."
